BSCI Call for Input on Code

BSCI is calling for feedback from stakeholders on their Code of Conduct, the review considers the latest international texts and declarations. BSCI would like to use this revision process as an opportunity to provide a Code that is stable and aspirational that can be used by organisations in the coming ten years.


An internal consultation has been carried out with BSCI participants and the Stakeholder Council. BSCI would now like to invite other stakeholders and interested parties to provide feedback on the current draft of the Code.


The consultation process will be open until 13 September 2013.

Reducing Child Labor and Forced Labor: A Toolkit for Responsible Businesses

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB) is the Federal government’s leading source of information on international labor issues.  The Department has developed a valuable resource, Reducing Child Labor and Forced Labor:  A Toolkit for Responsible Businesses, which is a free, easy-to-use, that can assist businesses in identifying and addressing potential incidences of child and forced labor through effective social compliance systems. AIM-PROGRESS, Mars and Unilever holds Responsible Sourcing Forum in Russia

On 4 June 2013, Mars and Unilever hosted an AIM-PROGRESS Responsible Sourcing Forum in Russia to promote responsible sourcing standards in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) supply chains.


Over 100 representatives from more than 60 food and beverage suppliers and manufactures came together to share best practices and to agree on common evaluation methods to improve performance.
