Post audit actions

Ethical audits help you to identify areas that can be improved to ensure that you comply with your local laws and meet customer requirements. This section offers guidance on how to tackle some of the most common issues found during audits.

During the closing meeting the auditors will go through their findings with you and provide you with a corrective action plan and timeframes for when each of the actions needs to be completed.

These follow-up actions are critical to the audit process and your customers will need to make sure that these have been completed. Your customers may have different timeframes for correcting any non-compliances but you need to make sure that you are aware of any deadlines and contact your customer and/or the audit company if you do not have this information.

If your customer does not contact you regarding the implementation of the corrective action, by taking a pro-active approach and managing the implementation yourself could be beneficial for your site, particularly if you plan to work with other AIM-PROGRESS members in the future.

Sedex Supplier Workbook provides practical guidance to help suppliers around the world to understand what 'good practice' looks like when working towards Ethical Trading Initiative and other Code requirements.
