The EU is considering introducing legislation on conflict minerals, possibly on the basis of the OECD Due Diligence Guidance (for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from conflict-affected and high-risk Areas), and inspired by the US Dodd-Frank Act. A co-ordination meeting between the various EU Commission services responsible for this topic is planned for late May and a working document will be issued at a later stage. AIM-PROGRESS members will be kept updated.
