PepsiCo hosts AIM-PROGRESS membership meeting in Theale

The latest AIM-PROGRESS membership on 26-27 March meeting gathered 55 attendees from 30 member companies, at PepsiCo’s UK headquarters in Theale. The new elements of the updated Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA), a key benchmark for AIM-PROGRESS audit requirements, were reviewed. The membership discussed the evolving responsible sourcing requirements of leading brand manufacturers and the need to take the common AIM-PROGRESS mutual recognition criteria to the next level.

Business Integrity: new anti-Corruption Training deck available for AIM-PROGRESS

The AIM-PROGRESS Business Integrity work stream has launched an Anti-Corruption Training deck to be used as part of ongoing supplier engagement efforts in combatting corruption and promoting good business practices. 

Further steps on Environment project

The first stage of our environmental activities revolved around gathering & sharing insights on members’ sustainability commitments and the GSCP environmental reference module. The ambition for the next stage of our environmental pillar work stream has been stepped up.

Auditing competence - GSCP publishes updated reference tool

The Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP) has released an updated version of its Reference Tool for Auditing Competence. This updated version reflects higher expectations from GSCP members towards the auditing industry.

Supply Chain Mapping – a common need for visibility

As part of its strategy to drive continuous improvement, AIM-PROGRESS is currently investigating the feasibility of a common project on supply chain mapping. 

Upcoming events

The next AIM-PROGRESS membership meeting will be hosted by General Mills on 23-25 June in Minneapolis (US). This is a members-only event. However, non-member FMCG brand manufacturers or suppliers who are interested in “checking out” our activities in view of potential membership are welcome to join as guests.
