Message from AIM-PROGRESS chairman
Seasons’ greetings to all readers! This newsletter is an opportunity to reflect on the year and look forward to the next one. 2014 has been another year of good development in all areas of our agenda.
End of year supplier training events assemble over 500 participants
AIM-PROGRESS held a series of Responsible Sourcing training events for suppliers in Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya) in October and November, hosted by The Coca-Cola Company and Diageo.
AIM-PROGRESS welcomes two recent new members
We are pleased to announce that Cargill and Verallia are the latest additions to the growing number of AIM-PROGRESS members.
AIM-PROGRESS membership meeting in New York
On 3-4 November 2014, Colgate-Palmolive hosted the AIM-PROGRESS membership meeting in New York. The meeting gathered 50 participants from 30 companies to further develop member capabilities in responsible sourcing, to progress the ambitious strategy to "positively impact people's lives" and to engage with relevant stakeholders.
Driving Compliance: AIM-PROGRESS releases member guide with practical top-tips
Assuring supplier compliance with the law and companies' responsible sourcing requirements is often a difficult task for members of AIM-PROGRESS. Carrying out audits may give a picture of the situation and identify shortcomings but it will not address root causes of non-compliance, nor will it help suppliers on the right path.
Sedex releases SMETA (5.0) - important reference document for AIM-PROGRESS
Sedex, a supplier audit data sharing platform used by 70% of AIM-PROGRESS members, has released an updated version of SMETA (5.0) audit protocol.
Member Capability Building
Member Capability Building is a key factor to progress responsible sourcing programs throughout the FMCG sector and it is one of the three AIM-PROGRESS strategy drivers.
Update on new work stream activities
The AIM-PROGRESS work streams have been continuing their activities in their respective areas and have launched several new projects open to member companies.

Our long-standing member PepsiCo will host the first AIM-PROGRESS meeting of the year on 26-27 March in their offices in Theale, near Reading (UK).
