AIM-PROGRESS has been working with member companies to ensure they have the processes in place to respect human rights as laid out in the UN’s Principles for Human Rights and Business. AIM-PROGRESS has held a series of webinars that build understanding of what human rights are and the potential impacts that business can have on those rights. Building on these initial webinars, the group will be arranging a further webinar that will be focus on the practical steps that companies have taken in implementing the Guiding Principles into their business practices. The webinar is planned for Tuesday 15 October and is accessible to AIM-PROGRESS member companies only.
The Human Rights group has also developed a set of self-assessment questions that AIM-PROGRESS members can use to help them understand how human rights are being respected in the supply chain. The questions are currently under review and will be made available to AIM-PROGRESS members in the coming weeks.
