Launch of the Good Practices Compendium 2026
We are pleased to launch the Good Practices Compendium 2026: Case Studies from Indian FMCG Suppliers, developed together with our implementation partner Centre for Responsible Business (CRB). Explore the Compendium here.
- Rationale: Human rights due diligence can feel daunting — particularly for SMEs navigating shifting global regulatory expectations alongside their day-to-day business priorities. This Compendium sets out to change that narrative. By showcasing supplier-led responsible business practices from India’s FMCG sector, it demonstrates that much of what HRDD requires is already happening on the ground — it simply needs to be recognised, strengthened, and made more systematic.
- Background: The Compendium is an output of the second year of AIM-Progress’ Supplier Capability Building Programme in India, delivered with CRB and supported by member sponsors ABF, Danone, Essity, Kerry, Mondelez, The Hershey Company, and Unilever. Five case studies were selected through a competitive application process and evaluated by an independent jury of sustainability experts. The featured suppliers — Auro Sundram Foods & Feeds, Makson Pharmaceuticals, Olam Food Ingredients (ofi) India, Swani Spice Mills, and Synthite Industries — cover thematic areas ranging from health, safety and environment to responsible sourcing, child protection, farmer livelihoods, and supply chain traceability. More information on the programme is available at aimprogress.c4rb.org.
- What’s inside: Each case study walks through the supplier’s governance structures, implementation approach, stakeholder engagement, and challenges faced — offering practical, peer-to-peer learning for suppliers and buyers alike. Taken together, the cases reveal a clear convergence with the expectations of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, making the case that responsible business is not a compliance burden but a foundation already being built.
We hope this Compendium serves as both an inspiring read and a practical prompt to look at your own business and recognise the good practices already in place. We welcome your feedback and reflections.
