End of year supplier training events assemble over 500 participants

AIM-PROGRESS held a series of Responsible Sourcing training events for suppliers in Africa (South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya) in October and November, hosted by The Coca-Cola Company and Diageo. These forums provided suppliers with the opportunity to learn from speakers representing AIM-PROGRESS member brands as well as service providers and organisations working to improve responsible sourcing standards in global supply chains. The forums were very well received by suppliers and allowed them to learn more about their customers’ (many of whom are AIM-PROGRESS members) expectations regarding responsible sourcing, with presentation of best practice and case studies.

Nestlé hosted an AIM-PROGRESS Responsible Sourcing Forum on 17th November 2014 in Frankfurt (Germany), which provided an opportunity for suppliers to engage with business leaders from the brand industry, to exchange views, to share learnings regarding responsible sourcing practice and to gain a better understanding of audit requirements based upon common expectations from the AIM-PROGRESS members. The moderated panel discussions included topics such as approaching the major non-compliances faced by German companies, and different management systems that are available for suppliers to engage in responsible sourcing.

Materials and presentations from the events are available to download from the Supplier Capability Building webpage of AIM-PROGRESS.
