We are pleased to release our latest spring 2023 update for AIM-Progress members and to the wider business community and civil society. There have been quite a few developments since the last update, especially when it comes to forced labour, including a proposed EU Forced Labour Products Ban, a draft Australian Customs Amendment Prohibiting Forced Labor Imports, the pending Mexican Administrative Regulation related to Forced Labour and the new U.S. Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) – Security and Trade Compliance Program Forced Labor Compliance.

Updates have also been made to existing summaries, including to the chapter on the EU directive on sustainability reporting, the draft EU directive on corporate sustainability due diligence, the draft EU deforestation regulation and the US Uyghur forced labor prevention act.

We will be organising a special members-only webinar with Ropes & Gray on 9 May 2023. If you are a company producing or distributing branded fast-moving consumer goods or supplying products, ingredients, packaging or raw materials and are interested in listening in, please contact us.
