AIM-Progress is proud to announce the release of the updated Responsible Sourcing Journey (RSJ) – our roadmap to improving responsible sourcing.
The RSJ provides a blueprint to help member companies accelerate the development and implementation of responsible sourcing practices that positively impact people’s lives throughout their supply chains. It enables companies to understand where they are on this journey and helps them identify and plan their future efforts more effectively.
The RSJ has undergone a fundamental review since the 2020 version to help reinforce AIM-Progress member companies’ commitment to respect Human Rights through:
- Alignment to the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Business Conduct, based on the UNGPs.
- New criteria focused on responsible recruitment & eliminating forced labour and enabling living wage/income.
The RSJ provides an up to-date and comprehensive description of practical actions and implementation measures to improve working conditions throughout the supply chain and better manage social and environmental impacts, integrating companies’ implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and business’s contributions to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We are making available this resource as an open-source document so the industry as a whole can benefit and take inspiration from our work.
Our special thanks go to Christel Costagli, Responsible Sourcing Solutions, and Mickaël Blais, MBL Sustainability for having provided professional support to this ambitious exercise.
