Built in collaboration with AIM-Progress and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), an interactive mapping tool that gathers existing key initiatives, emerging standards, schemes, risk assessment tools and other programmes related to responsible recruitment and addressing forced labour into a single location.
We believe this tool can also aid in supporting increased alignment and mutual recognition among initiatives by allowing users the opportunity to compare a variety of programs and identify potential synergies within the responsible recruitment space.
The interactive format presents information in a searchable manner and groups initiatives according to type of initiative such as guidance, certification standard, risk assessment, advocacy, and capability building. Each initiative summary also includes an overview, key objectives, and highlighted activities to date.
Underpinning AIM-Progress and WBCSD’s work is the need for collaborative action, implementation of best practices and a united commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to improve social, economic, and environmental sustainability across value chains. We believe that this tool can help in supporting the work towards ‘decent work for all’ as highlighted through SDG 8 as well as SDG 17 on global partnerships for sustainable development.
